Hi my name’s Dave Pinkerton! I am a State College High School graduate and have a degree from Penn College in architecture and a B.S. in Business from Lock Haven University. I began my career in floor covering in 1996 when America’s Carpet Outlet first opened it’s doors for business, so I am going on 22 years of experience. My primary responsibility is to measure the customer’s space for the products chosen and provide quick, accurate estimates. I enjoy all that Happy Valley has to offer- the community involvement, the ease of access to various entertainment venues, and most of all, the beauty of the natural surroundings in this little place we call home.
my name is Shannon Albegiani. I have been a Centre County resident
for about 30 years. I love Happy Valley- I have raised my three
children here, and cannot think of any other place I would want to
call home. I have worked in the flooring industry since 2005,
previously with Clinefelter’s Flooring. I enjoy helping homeowners
create their space in their home- whether it be a remodel or new
construction. It is important to me to make sure the homeowner loves
their finished space and has the most functional product for their
room. Stop in and take a look at what we have to offer, and Thank you
for supporting local!
I am George McMurtry - the owner of America’s Carpet Outlet.
Despite the continued growth in Centre County and State College in particular, as a “local” I understand that this area is still very much a community which understands the value of doing business with people rather than companies. With a 30 year history in the flooring industry, I recognize that my most important background may be that of both a State College High School and Penn State graduate.
The commitment to being a quality flooring provider to the area is tied directly to the commitment to being a better “citizen”. Through both time and money, supporting local organizations (non-profits such as Strawberry Fields, the Youth Service Bureau, the Bob Perks Cancer Fund and many more), youth sports, local arts and music programs are but a few examples of opportunities to give back I have been happy to have been a part of. Understanding that this community is a great place in which to work and live, there are tremendous feelings of gratitude, satisfaction and most of all humility I receive through these types of contributions. I recognize that throughout my life countless numbers of people have done things to allow me to enjoy a very nice existence. Trying to do a few things to support others is the only way I know to say “Thank You!”
Along with my wife Laura Mosier and our four collective children, I am extremely happy to call State College not only my job location, but home as well!
Hi, my name is Gene Moyer. I am the Warehouse Manager. I do my best to keep the warehouse organized and assist customers when picking up their products. I also perform the binding services for ACO. So, if you order a carpet and have us cut it to a specific size for your space, I will be the person doing that for you!
I have lived in Centre County for about 30 years. I am a loyal employee and appreciate that you help support our local business and keep me employed.
